Garlic Bacon Mushrooms Recipe

Garlic Bacon Mushrooms are my mind…
forget serving dishes, they won’t even make it that far…

Yield 4 to 6 servings. Cook time 25 minutes

1/2 lb. thick sliced bacon
2 lbs mixed mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 garlic cloves, finely minced
salt and pepper to taste, (remember there is salt in the bacon)

Add the bacon to a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Let it cook until the fat releases and it is cooked but not crispy, about 10 minutes.
Add the mushrooms and turn the heat to high. Let the mushrooms cook until their liquid has evaporated, about 6 to 7 minutes. Then reduce the heat to medium-high.
Add the onions and cook for 5 minutes more.
Add the garlic to the pan and cook it for about 1 minute.
Season to taste with salt and black pepper

I have cut the bacon into 1/2 to 3/4 inch pieces and put all the ingredients on a sheet pan (with sides) and let it cook all together until the bacon is crisp. In the oven, of course. Try it both ways. Let me know how you like it, Bruce Homstead
