The Tipping Point?

A short blast tonight–
“We have come to rely upon a comfortable time lag of fifty years or a century intervening between the perception that something ought to be done and a serious attempt to do it.” H. G. Wells
So is it to be “The War of the Worlds” or, “The Shape of Things to Come”? And here we sit. Are we at the tipping point? We have been talking about nutrition here for several weeks. “Where Does Our Food Come From” by Gary Paul Nabhan, raised the above quote and this thought: “Much of humanity no longer knows how to put their hands into the soil, and instead specializes in curating, with microwaves, long dead objects found in fridges.” Last summer’s floods, this forlorn winter, and more, may be telling us to get ready to put our hands in the soil, and know where our clean water is coming from. A quarter acre can feed a family of 4 easily. We may want to get past the stage of getting ready to get ready.
