Hydration Tracking

We started a Hydration Challenge last Monday, with tips and info all week. Encouragement came every day to drink more fluids, especially water, with 64 ounces being a goal (8-8 ounce g;asses, the proverbial recipe). Participants were urged to measure and track their intake on a daily basis. Most of us learned a big lesson about our daily hydration habits. Mostly, everyone was down a quart, so to speak. By week’s end we had some epiphanies regarding the values of being well hydrated. Try it , you will like it!!!. I am attaching our trackers, one for a week and one for a month. Make copies and save the original. Start tomorrow and don’t miss a day of recording, increasing your intake to the optimum amount, and if you are exercising and sweating, replace the extra that is sweat loss. If you want to know how to measure sweat loss get in touch with me. Usually we start with 2/3 ounce per pound of body weight to replace sweat loss. That would be water if you have a short exercise period, an hour or so, and a quality sport drink for more than that, but not always, as you should start well hydrated. You don’t need hundreds of Calories to replace the sweat loss of a short exercise time. The best and highly researched sport drink products are made by Shaklee, safe, effective, no doping problems, etc. My branding partner for several decades b/c I have never had to apologize for any product. This is important for a health care practitioner. Our products are also guaranteed. We power athletes of all ages and abilities, from Olympians, Paralympians, school kids of all ages and sports, weekend warriors, police, firefighters, people working in their yards, etc. It’s good stuff…” All day I’ve faced a barren waste
Without the taste of water, cool water
Old Dan and I with throats burned dry
And soles that cry for water
Cool, clear water” (Bob Nolan)
