master Your metabolism day 3

It was a protein kind of day today. Day 3 of Master Your Metabolism. Are you in the group yet? ‘Tis private so ask me for an invite. Some of what we discussed:
To increase muscle mass in combination with physical activity, it is recommended that a person who lifts weights regularly or is training for a running or cycling event eat a range of 1.2 to 1.7 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day, o.5 to o.8 grams per pound of body weight. (https://www.acsm.org>docs Protein Intake for Optimal Muscle Maintenance) quoted 09/27/23. I also have an article from Frontiers in Nutrition highlighting Leucine and its role in maintaining and developing muscle mass. Ask for the link to that and to Mastering Your Metabolism. We have 7 more days of info and fun.
