Connecticut River and dams

Did you know that the Connecticut River, 410 miles long, is controlled by over 1000 dams on its main waterway, plus another 14 thousand dams slowing the waters of tributaries. This from Beaver Land by Leila Philip, telling the world of the beaver and its importance in our environment and economy from very early history to now. An amazing tail and a possible key to mitigate the flooding we are experiencing lately. Much of it is local to us.
