Healthy Holiday Challenge

HEALTHY HOLIDAYS: I have been reading the materials for the program and they are exceptionally well thought out. Kudos to the Authors. There is a recurring theme of “Mindful”. What just came to me is that doesn’t mean stomach full, even though we may take delight in that at Thanksgiving and Holiday meals. We are a pie family here, other than my flourless chocolate cakes and cheesecakes, where I use honey for sweetener. We have had up to 18 pies at the table. The dessert plate has been known to be licked clean. What we have been given for this week are tools that will help us navigate around all that. If you want a taste of each one, then use a teaspoon. Yeah right? The mindful ideas will help us control ourselves. Our microbiota will love the self control and so will our fat storage system, insulin production and much more. Now we will contend with the leftovers calling us to the kitchen. May I suggest we put the teasers and other notes of the week on the frig door, the bathroom mirror, the car mirrors, whatever it takes. By participating in this week’s activities we will have company on this fork in the road. We can help each other for the Holidays and after. We can plan to grow our health and businesses, and not our body size. I do love to eat, now I will have the mindful art strengthened. BTW, the guide has upped the vegetables and fruits to 5 to 7 portions, mostly vegetables. We are shooting for 7 to 9. Seven for the ladies and 9 for the men. Hit the target, or not, you will feel it either way. If you do or if you do not-hit the target, that is. What is a portion? Ask me… Also, ask me for an invite to this private group. You will be pleased. We start Nov 6th through Nov 10th. Bruce
