What you put into your body is what you get out!

Garbage in = garbage out, as in body/mind performance. This is pertinent to flying a desk, normal daily tasks, or physical activity at any level. We can label it awareness or training where the goal is via optimum nutrition, and maximizing our genetic inheritance, is improved performance. Almost anything can be an ergogenic aid, including water. If something helps with recovery, enhanced performance, and injury avoidance, it is considered ergogenic. The ergogenic possibilities are vast, both good and bad.

The choices may include junk food, excessive caffeine and sugars, or banned, illegal or unethical substances and methods which frequently come into play. This occurs at high school age and younger, to the surprise of many people. Many opportunities to obtain these quick fixes are found on the internet and from other countries, no questions asked. There can be dangerous side effects and long term consequences, some irreversible. This info and reality is largely ignored by the user… tune in tomorrow for page 2 of the story.
