We have been talking about nutrition here for several weeks. “Where Does Our Food Come From” by Gary Paul Nabhan, raised the above quote and this thought: “Much of humanity no longer knows how to put their hands into the soil, and instead specializes in curating, with microwaves, long dead objects found in fridges.” Last summer’s floods, this forlorn winter, and more, may be telling us to get ready to put our hands in the soil, and know where our clean water is coming from.
